The apple brand has among its plans to develop and put into circulation a low-cost phone in March. It would be a second version of the already known iPhone SE. As reported by Bloomberg, Apple suppliers plan to begin assembling this new model in February with the idea of formally presenting the equipment the following month.

The companies Hon Hai, Precision Industry, Pegatron Corp. and Wistron Corp. will be in charge of assembly for the new phone.

This will be the first low-cost iPhone model since the sale of the iPhone SE. It will look similar to the 2017 iPhone 8 and include a 4.7-inch display, Bloomberg News previously reported. The iPhone 8 is still on the market and currently retails for $449, while Apple sold the iPhone SE for $399 when it was introduced in 2016. While there's no official data on which would be the price of the new SE, renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said in October 2019 that it would be worth $399, according to his estimates.

The new mobile is expected to have Touch ID integrated into the home button, instead of the fingerprint sensor on the screen as many of the latest Android models have.

The device will not include Apple's Face ID biometric authentication, but It will have the same processor as the iPhone 11, that is, the A13 Bionic. The idea of launching a cheaper device aims to expand its presence in the market.

Faced with the high demand for iPhones, Apple has asked Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. to manufacture more processors in the current quarter, according to two people familiar with the matter since, in recent times, the more affordable iPhone 11 has had quite an impact on the public.

The shares of Japan Display Inc., which supplies LCD screens for iPhones Apple's lower level, ended Wednesday's day with a rise of 1.35%. Another sign that everything is going well for the brand's cheaper terminals.

A cheaper option could help Apple better compete in the more competitively priced and fast-growing emerging phone markets, particularly in India.

Separately, Apple is planning a series of new high-end iPhones to be unveiled in September 2020 that include 5G connectivity, more processors fastand new 3-D cameras on the back, as reported by Bloomberg News.

It should be remembered that iPhone competes with several Android devices that are being sold, in the United States, at much lower prices: in fact you can get equipment with interesting features for less than USD 200.

The American technology giant expects device sales to grow again this year, and has set the goal of marketing more than 200 million units in 2020. The successor to the iPhone SE will play an important role in this scheme.
