This Wednesday, September 9, in San Francisco, the new iPhone will be announced. Although it could be version 7 of the successful phone designed by Steve Jobs - which sold 47.5 million units in the second quarter of this year alone - the company's past methodology indicates that this month's premiere will be the iPhone 6S and its largest version, the 6S Plus. That is, the update of the equipment presented at the end of 2014. For the iPhone 7 we would have to wait until next year. But anything can happen.
What's coming
For now it's all speculation, but it is believed that the new features will involve four points: a screen with different touch options, a camera that records in 4K (the technology that is 4 times the full HD quality), more processing power/memory and there is a lot of speculation about additions to its traditional color range.
But let's go straight ahead with the new features:
Screen with Fource Touch
It will have different levels of pressure allowing you to obtain new shortcuts that developers will know how to take advantage of to offer more functions in their applications.
The same technology that the recent Apple Watch and Macbook have, which allows different pressures on the glass for different responses. For example, pressing on an icon with greater or lesser intensity will have different results for the user.
Let us remember that a few days ago, at the IFA fair in Berlin, Huawei announced a cell phone with this technology. Huawei promoted it by weighing an apple -just an apple, how ironic-and showed how the screen became a mini-scale (it supports little weight). Well, Apple has already accustomed us to these things, its news is not as new as it seems or it is always unfortunate that someone beats it to the punch.
Camera
The 9to5Mac website leaked details of what the team's camera will be, which in theory would increase the pixels.
The iPhone 6S will be able to take photos in 12 megapixels and record videos in 4K. The front camera will have 5 megapixels and will be optimized for selfies.
Well, Apple is finally putting some effort into this issue, for the first time since the launch of the iPhone 4S in 2011 they are improving the camera, if you read correctly, since 2011!
Power
They are the new features that are not seen, but that make the equipment work better.
There will be a new processor, this time using an Apple A9, and finally, 2GB of RAM, something that many of the competing high-end phones already have and Apple does not. Not to be bad, but many Android Smartphones; talking about high-end devices; They already have 3 GB.
The Negative Side
Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, and his team don't seem worried about the battery issue, even though it's one of the strongest complaints from users, especially considering that it will now be able to film in 4K, which will require greater autonomy.
My Personal Conclusion
iPhone fans are ecstatic, the rest are watching with bated breath. The truth is that Apple is a machine for generating hype. Pure marketing, but it works for them; it generates expectation, anxiety, and makes a splash on social media.
It remains to be seen if that expectation will translate into sales at the Apple Stores as people wait for the new Apple smartphone.
And what about you? What do you think?
