WhatsApp, in addition to being a free platform that offers its users private conversations, thanks to its encryption system, also operates as a community that is governed by a set of rules.
These rules must be met if you want to continue using the service. There are certain actions that, if carried out, lead to the eventual blocking of the user, which can be temporary or permanent.
In the case of a temporary block, when the user has incurred some of the actions prohibited by WhatsApp, when they open the application, a message will be displayed that reads: "You have been temporarily suspended from WhatsApp". The message stipulates the total length of time the suspension will last. The referred period depends on the action that led to the penalty.
Some of the actions that can lead to a temporary suspension are the following:
When many users have blocked it
If you are blocked by a certain number of people in a short period of time, WhatsApp will almost certainly block your account.
It is also not tolerated to send messages to many users who have not added you to their contact list. To avoid a penalty for incurring this action, you should make sure that the person you are writing to has saved your number in their phone book.
Create groups with strangers
If you create many groups that include users who do not have you in their contact list, if you send the same message to many people and if you use the broadcast list feature, WhatsApp will think that you are sending SPAM.
Then your messaging service will be suspended.
To avoid this, open the options menu (identified as a symbol with three dots drawn vertically) available in the "Chats" window. You will see an option called ‘New Broadcast’. In this section you can add the contacts to whom you want to send a specific message.
Send what you shouldn't
WhatsApp does not tolerate users sending illegal, obscene, defamatory, threatening, harmful, hateful, racist or criminal content.
Nor should they share messages that store 'software' with viruses, worms or other types of malicious files or programs. Under the terms of service, you are also not permitted to submit copyrighted material. On the other hand, adult content is allowed but the user must identify it as such.
Messaging
Automatic systems for sending messages such as Wget, Apache Bench, Mswebstress, Httpload, Blitz, Xcode Automator or Android Monkey are “penalized” by the service.
Likewise, attempting to access key system components or networks involved in the WhatsApp service without authorization may result in suspension. In general, the use of third-party applications that interfere with the operation of the platform is not accepted.
How to get your account unblocked
If the suspension or block was carried out in error, the user can send an email to support@whatsapp.com specifying their phone number, country code, phone model (i.e., brand and model number), and the reasons why they believe an error occurred. If the account is suspended, you will no longer appear in other people's contact lists after 72 hours. Repeatedly engaging in the aforementioned actions may result in a permanent block.
