More than one person would like to be able to use Google maps when traveling abroad, even if they don't have internet. Also watch a video on YouTube again without spending data or simply browse Chrome. Precisely, the technology giant has announced during its I/O 2015 conference that all these services will have an offline version in the next version of its operating system, Android M.

In the case of Google Maps the offline version will arrive in the coming months to the US market. It will be exactly the same as the normal application and with the same functions, although at the moment maps cannot be downloaded. It follows that it will work in a similar way to other apps capable of showing maps and directions without an internet connection.

YouTube will finally allow you to download videos and store them on your smartphone for 48 hours to watch them whenever you want. An ideal option for those users who do not want to spend data on watching videos, or do not have enough connection to do so. Similarly, the Chrome browser will allow you to access offline search results.

These services will soon arrive on Android M and not throughout the world, but it is assumed that they will eventually reach all markets and devices. Google's idea is that its products work better in countries with a poor internet connection, for example by ensuring that pages load few images.
