Android is unstoppable. Google's operating system is running on more than 1.4 billion devices. This great potential gives the most famous search engine an immense base on which to offer its services, which range from voice, text and image search capabilities, to mapping data collection via GPS. Google's business is data, and every time we use Android for something it is very likely that we are collaborating with the company so that it obtains said information.
We can find the operating system on all types of devices. Here we show you some:
Stereos
They are true multimedia centers with approximately 7” screens where everything is controlled by Android.
Apart from connecting to the vehicle's functionalities, they offer AM/FM radio, digital TV, GPS (Google Maps), Bluetooth connection, voice recognition (SIRI) for commands, connection and control of cameras via USB, to top it off it has WIFI and can be easily updated.
LeEco Bike
Smart bicycle known as Le Super Bike, has sensors and dedicated software, which transmit to an embedded mobile device all the activities we carry out when we walk around the city.
At the same time, the device has WiFi and GPS capacity, so we cannot get lost if we take advantage of its full integration with Google Maps. The sensors can take our pulse when we grab the handlebars and of course it has buttons to control several of the software functions, from raising and lowering the volume to turning on the flashlight (which is automatically controlled according to the light conditions in which the bike is located).
Audio recorders
Philips is another company that has invested in Android. We already know cell phones and HUE smart lamps, which change color and are controlled via WiFi.
But now Philips launched a handheld recorder for journalists or similar purposes. This recorder attempts to be intelligent equipment dedicated to this purpose, and thanks to the capabilities that Android gives it, it integrates advanced security functions for audio recordings, which is why Philips ensures that other similar equipment cannot be compared with this new equipment.
Operating System for PC?
Some operating systems are directly modified versions of the same software, which due to its technical nature of being open source, can be redistributed under another name such as Remix OS.
It is a new platform that, like other versions of Android, is free. Its developers publish the product as an edition of Android that is designed to run comfortably on desktop PCs and tablets, placing special emphasis on those computers that are too old or slow for new operating systems. The charm of Remix is that in addition to being free and ultralight, it is the first version of Android designed to be used with a keyboard and a mouse, which gives it a more than advantageous position compared to the same product in its most classic form, the one distributed by Google. Remix can be downloaded free of charge but does not have direct support for users. The company does, however, sell small computers, pre-installed with Remix, which can be purchased for a few dollars.
Smart TV Televisions
Android has empowered new TVs with its wide spectrum of functionality.
TVs are now smarter. You can connect with a smartphone or tablet to the TV and do the same things as on your phone, watching it on the big screen. Android TV is completely new, it allows you to connect and enjoy any content, from applications to movies, between different devices that contain Android as the operating system, simply and easily with Google CAST. They come integrated with SIRI (voice recognizer), allow you to download applications from Google Play and much more.
