Android Pay is the easiest and most secure way to use your Android phone to pay in stores and in apps. You just have to unlock your phone, place it near a terminal and that's it, there is no need to open an application.
The system is similar to Apple's Apple Pay, with the difference that Google's method can be used with mobile phones that use the Android operating system instead of Apple's iPhone smartphones.
Android Pay works with all NFC-enabled Android devices
Today we are launching Android Pay, the simple and secure method to pay with your Android phone in more than one million places in the United States
-- on its official blog Google Inc.
The Mountain View (California)-based company indicated that the system will be launched gradually over the next few days. Google stressed that Android Pay works with all phones with the Android operating system equipped with the short-distance communication technology known as NFC, which allows two physically close devices to share information. To pay with your mobile, you simply need to touch the phone with the credit card terminal so that a connection is made through NFC.
Android Pay works with all Android devices enabled with NFC, which use the KitKat 4.4 operating system or higher for any operator.

Knowing how Google works, it's not crazy to think that it will offer a tough fight to credit cards. Its partial implementation in the US will surely be a success, so we will soon see Android Pay expand in Latin America and other continents.
