Android 6.0 Marshmallow will not have an exaggerated change with respect to the Android Lollipop version, but it will add new features such as Google "Now on Tap" (not available for Spanish language) that integrates the Google Assistant more deeply into the operating system and offers greater permission control over applications and performance improvements.
Below are the new features and improved functions that the new version brings.
Improved menu
The widget menu now allows you to see the initials of the available widgets if you slide your finger along the scroll bar, changing letters as you navigate through the menu.
Apart from ordering the applications alphabetically, it also includes a quick search engine at the top that will allow us to filter what we are looking for.
Optimizing battery usage
The improvement in battery life continues to increase, Android Marshmallow does it.
Optimizes the use of RAM memory and reduces consumption when the device screen is off or does not detect movements. This new improvement is called Doze
Fingerprint unlock
Google has included a new fingerprint authentication.
Although some Android devices already have this functionality, it will now be native in the new Android 6.0,
Now on Tap
Google Now will now be able to interact through the applications and different functions of your smartphone.
It will collect information stored in a text message or email and connects with the rest of the compatible applications. Google Now is now not a separate function, it is activated and interacts with different parts of our device.
Per-app permission control
Users can decide what permissions we grant to each application.
Each application will have a list of the functions that it will use to function, the user will be able to decide whether to grant permission to all the functions or not. You can do this from the settings menu of each application.
Customizing Quick Settings
The UI system now allows you to edit the quick parameters that appear in the phone's action bar from the menu and even adjust their order.
Telephone answering machine?
The user will not depend on the answering services of the operators, now it will bring a native functionality to configure a voice answering machine.
Of course this will depend on the support that the operators provide in this regard, it will be a matter of time before we can count on it.
Improved microSD support
Google has finally agreed to design native support for microSD cards, which can interact with the phone as if it were an extension of the internal memory itself.
Allows you to install external applications onto the removable microSD card. The menu will allow you to distinguish which applications are saved on the microSD and which are stored on the phone.
