Do you know how to communicate on Twitter? Here are the terms most used on the social network Twitter.

• Avatar: Replaces the user's photo on their profile, it is usually a drawing, although photos of celebrities, animals and objects are also used. It is recommended that instead of the avatar, a close-up photo of the user be uploaded to the profile.
• Block: With this action you can block a user who is annoying to you, this way you prevent them from following you or mentioning you.
• Protected account: One of the account configuration options is "Protect my Tweets". This option limits the visibility of your tweets to those users you approve. This option is not recommended, your tweets must generate interest and be read by more and more users, just the opposite effect to that achieved by protecting your account.
• Direct Messages (DM) or Direct Message (MD): These are 140-character texts that are sent privately and are only visible to the sender and the receiver.
• Favorites: These are the tweets preferred by users. You mark them and you can access them to view them at any time.
• Followear: Action of following another user.
• Follower: Is a User who reads your tweets on their main Twitter page (TL).
• #FollowFriday (#FF): a label used on Fridays to recommend other users. You can recommend several users in the same Tweet, but the recommendation has more effect if we only recommend one user per tweet and include a reason to follow them. An example of use would be: #FollowFriday @user reason-why-you-recommend-following them.
• Following: User whose tweets you read on your Twitter home page (TL).
• Hashtag (#) or Label: Used on Twitter to classify tweets by topic. They are formed with the pound symbol (#) followed by the theme (#tema). The use of a hashtag allows you to organize discussions with a multitude of users.
• Mention: When a user writes your @username in a tweet.
• Modified Tweet (MT) or Modified Tweet: You share another user's tweet, making small changes to it.
• Profile: is the part of the account settings, where we share our photo or avatar, our biography and our website. If our account is not protected, the profile is public.
• Reply: It is a Tweet in response to another tweet. Only users who follow the person making the reply and you will read it on your home page. A reply is a particular case of mention.
• Retweet (RT) or Retweet: It is the action of sharing a tweet from a user with your followers. The manual way to do it is by putting RT @user User-Tweet. Twitter has the option to do this automatically.
• Spam: When you repeat tweets with your own content in a massive way, usually making mentions to attract the attention of other users, it is considered that you are sending unsolicited advertising (spam).
• Timeline (TL): Main page where you can read your tweets and those of the people you follow.
• Trending Topics (TT): These are the most popular topics. on Twitter at a given time. The geographical scope may vary (local, national, global).
• Troll: User who writes tweets with the intention of annoying. When faced with a troll, the best thing to do is not feed it (Don't feed the troll). That is, you have to ignore it completely and block it.
• Tweet: Message of 140 characters maximum, which you publish on Twitter.
• Tweet: action of writing tweets.
• Unfollow: action of stopping following a user.
• Via: It is a way of recognizing the user who has provided you with a link that you are tweeting.
• RTRL: Retweet Real Life. Something taken from real life and put on Twitter.
• MT: Modified Tweet or Modified Tweet. It looks like RT, but it means that the original tweet has been modified.
• PRT: Partial Retweet or Pacial Retweet. It is a shortened RT so that it takes up fewer characters.
• CC: Carbon Copy. It serves to make sure that the user sees the tweet, and to do so, type cc and then @user to whom we want to send the message.
• FA: Follow Always. If FF (Follow Friday) is the recommendation on Fridays, FA is when it is recommended to follow someone no matter what.
• NSFW: Not Safe For Work. It warns us that we should not open the link that accompanies the tweet. It is very possible that it is inappropriate!
• EM: E-Mail or Electronic Mail.
• BRB: Be Right Back. It comes on when we are away for a moment, to let us know.
• ROLF: Rolling On Floor Laughing. It literally means "falling to the ground laughing." A very funny tweet.

Knowing these acronyms we will be able to better navigate the Twitter universe, of which we already know a little more about its ins and outs, if you know any you can comment on it.
