This is how the little star will no longer be part of the Twitter interface. In its replacement, the Like button appeared, like on Facebook, but in the shape of a heart. According to what they claim on the social network, the change is due to the way users have been using it lately. Let us remember that the favorites button was designed to mark tweets of interest to the user, when they contained some relevant information. Its action was similar to the browser's Favorites.
Although users were surprised by the replacement, and for a short period the transition of the buttons was commented on, its concept does not change.
Making use of the Twitter surveys we consulted users, what they thought about it. As you can see in the image, at the moment the result is not good. It still needs to be finalized, perhaps you can vote before the survey expires.
Far from being novel, Twitter will have to commit to making more significant changes if it wants to recover lost ground. The truth is that the absence of users on the bird's social network is increasingly noticeable.
Summary Twitter now has three buttons: Reply, Retweet and Like, the latter in the shape of a heart. I interpret that users are going to miss the terms faveando or favear, which had achieved great popularity in the tweeting world, when the social network was on the rise.
What do you think?
