Until a few months ago, accessing instagram.com from your mobile or the web didn't make much sense: you could see photos, comment on them or like them, but not publish. That has just changed since the version of the page for mobile devices now allows uploading photos.

For a few hours, users who access the Instagram page from their cell phones will see that the service offers to upload a photo, a useful possibility for those who for some reason cannot access the app, do not want to install it, or have a device that is not compatible.

The new function, however, has a limit: the size of the photo is predetermined to two possibilities, thus not allowing users Adjust the image to your liking. Until now, from the web version you could only browse, follow, search, bookmark content and see notifications.

This is the first time that Instagram has given in significantly to the pressure to equate the applications with the web version, which is still very rudimentary when accessed from a PC. Those who want to upload photos from a conventional PC will have to pretend to be a smartphone or tablet.

Instagram's intention is for its service to continue expanding, especially in developing markets, where cell phones do not have as much space to install many applications. 80% of the users of the Facebook-owned application live outside the US, a more than reasonable reason to face this change.
