I have a fan page, why aren't my Facebook posts showing up on my follower's walls?

Since mid-2014, abrupt changes have been noticed on Facebook and in April of this year they were confirmed: Facebook has changed its sampling algorithm. This change is even more reflected on Facebook pages, or fanpages.

Thousands of queries have been seen from users complaining that the posts from the fanpages they manage are not published on the timelines of their followers. This is because Facebook is looking to show more relevant content to its users. One immediately thinks "if someone likes my page, isn't that enough for them to see the posts on their timeline?" A user may like a page but if they do not show interest by interacting with its content, for example by clicking on "Like" or "Share", it will lose relevance and eventually Facebook will choose not to include it in that user's timeline.

These changes in Facebook's algorithm have, however, their side effects. Those who have seen a drop in the activity of their fanpage have experienced it firsthand. This can be a cause of despair for many if we consider that 90% of fanpages seek to capitalize on their posts by publishing offers and products for sale, or by capturing the user's attention in order to obtain clicks to their website.

The topic does not end here, beyond this refusal, if as a profile user you start to observe their walls, you will notice that the majority of the posts are from friends and not from fanpages. From what I have been able to estimate, 80% of the posts on my profile correspond to posts from friends and the rest to fanpage posts, especially those that are very viral.

Following this concept, fanpages are increasingly losing relevance for followers UNLESS we are talking about sponsored fanpages. Let's stop here for a moment... those who have the opportunity to manage a fanpage, did you notice that the PROMOTE button appears everywhere and at all times? Easily identifiable, in the left sector of the interface, a blue button with the legend "Promote Page" accompanied by a legend that says "Get thousands of people who are close to your business." A little further down another blue button "Promote Website" and then in each publication, guess what, another blue button that says "Promote Publication".

To conclude, two factors are clear, Facebook is taking care of the users of the content they receive and on the other hand it wants to add income at all costs, there is no need to further explain why the contents of fan pages do not go viral, especially those that have few users. Either you pay or you're out of the new modality.

In a way it has its reason for being, Mark Zuckerberg and his social network need to get income from some point, users are not charged for using his social network because it is the engine that feeds it, so where are they going to get that income from? Of course from companies.
