From October 9, Facebook will allow users to add new forms of rating to their publications, apart from the well-known "Like".

Facebook Reactions, named after this new way of rating posts, a new way for users to express their emotions. Specifically, the user will have six new types of interactions:

  • "I love it"
  • "It amuses me"
  • "I'm happy"
  • "It amazes me"
  • "It saddens me"
  • "It angers me"

Let's remember that days ago Mark Zuckenberg, founder of the social network, had anticipated a change at this level, where he questioned the creation of a button "I don't like it".

In Argentina, especially those readers who consume news, have already experienced this type of evaluation on one of the websites most popular like tn.com.ar which has implemented this "type of emotions" more than a year ago.

Facebook, the most popular social network currently, has not yet determined what the deadline is in this testing stage, but it is known that it will initially be implemented in Spain and Ireland, and then we will gradually see it in the rest.

How does it work?

Under each publication, the user will have a summary, which will indicate the total number of emotions accumulated by each "button".

This data will provide more information to the user, to evaluate the emotional impact that their publications generate on their followers.
