Much has been said lately about insecurity in messaging services, it is clear that it is public knowledge that; apart from the service provider company; unscrupulous third parties could access users' conversations and obtain private information from them.
WhatsApp has enabled what it calls end-to-end encryption. Surprisingly today, a message appeared on the WhatsApp of several devices saying "The calls and messages sent to this chat are now secure with end-to-end encryption. Tap for more information", as explained in WhatsApp itself, messages, photos, videos, voice messages, documents and calls are safe so that they cannot fall into the wrong hands.
With the incorporation of this technology, not even the WhatsApp executives themselves will be able to access any user's information. What a coincidence just when it was known that American justice; just like what happened with Apple; I eagerly wanted to have unlimited access to the information of WhatsApp users, about all those who commit crimes and can leave illuminating evidence that serves the interests of the US government.
Leaving interests aside, for users it is still another security measure, a bonus that, according to their claim, no one will be able to spy on other people's information. In good time, time will tell if this is really the case.
This technology will be available for Android and iOS users.
The fine print
Although the new WhatsApp update gives users the possibility of encrypting the audios, documents and messages that are shared through the popular instant messaging application, experts warn that the data will continue to be collected by the company.
