Given renewed hopes that the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States) will finally authorize the creation of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) linked to this cryptocurrency, bitcoin today surpassed the price of $47,000, a figure not reached since April 2022.
It is presumed that today's rise in the price of bitcoin occurs after it became known that some of the managers interested in the creation of ETFs linked to the main cryptocurrency, have submitted modifications to their applications.
Investors interpret this as a sign that the process is still underway and that there is still a possibility that ETFs will be approved.
