The new president expressed his desire to privatize YPF;the oil company with a state majority of 51%; although he clarified that some restructuring must be carried out beforehand.

And he added "Everything that can be in the hands of the private sector, will be in the hands of the private sector".

Before these sayings, and although on the day of the date, there were no operations in the market exchange nor in the stock market, his statements had immediate effect on the international financial market, so much so that less than an hour had passed since he spoke to the press and the shares of YPF itself rose between 36 and 42% on Wall Street.

In the private sector, companies such as Transportadora Gas del Sur rose by 22%, Pampa Energía, by 20% and Central Puerto SA with increases of up to 9%, IRSA 18% and Telecom 19%, among others.

Not only YPF investors benefited, stocks in the banking sector such as Grupo Financiero Galicia also rose with 23%; Banco Macro with 20%, Cresud with 21%, BBVA Argentina with 16% and Grupo Supervielle with 12%.

Bonds also rose, but to a lesser extent, with an approximate increase between 4 and 6%.

What happened to the Dollar CRYPTO?

On election day and before the vote count, the crypto dollar rose, bringing the price just below $1,200. Following Javier Milei's statements, the currency fell, hovering around $990.

Country Risk?

Country Risk dropped by 72 points compared to the last business day of the previous week, leaving it with a value of 2,340 points.

The positive response on Wall Street indicates a certain optimism in the financial market regarding the policies expected from the new government. It remains to be seen what will happen on Tuesday with trading on the Argentine Stock Exchange, although analysts expect positive reactions.
